Chandler-Mather defeated Labor's Terri Butler at this year's federal election.
Greens MP Max Chandler-Mather has spoken to 6 News about whether we'll see more contests between his party & Labor, following his victory over Terri Butler in the seat of Griffith in May.
Ms Butler falsely suggested during the campaign that voting Greens would lead to Scott Morrison being returned as Prime Minister.
"Both major parties threw around pretty dishonest lines about our electoral system," Chandler-Mather said.
"They try and roll out disinformation about how preferential voting works...the proof is in the pudding now, we won Griffith & there's a Labor government."
He also said that they were likely be more Liberal versus Greens & Labor versus Greens contests in the future, and that the 'Greens-slide' won't be a one-off.
