Exclusive: 6 News has seen images of the material which is being sent out in the marginal seat of Richmond.
Labor has been sending out material in the marginal Victorian electorate of Richmond that uses the Liberal Party's colours & logo, amid reports they could lose the seat to The Greens.
The images obtained by 6 News show the Liberal logo & background - the same style being used by Liberal candidates throughout this election - with the title "IMPORTANT INFORMATION for Liberal voters"
"The Liberals CAN'T WIN in Richmond...and so Matthew Guy has done a deal to get the Greens candidate for Richmond into Parliament."
"A vote for Matthew Guy will flow through to the Greens," they claimed - despite the fact that Liberal how-to-vote cards where Labor is last are only a recommendation.
The leaflet claims that Liberal candidate Lucas Moon "can't stand by it" and has "asked you to support Labor."
"To stop the Greens, you need to PUT LABOR FIRST."
The only way to tell the leaflet has come from Labor is an authorisation message at the very bottom.
On Instagram, the Victorian Greens said that Labor is "disguis(ing) themselves as the Liberals."
In Richmond, the candidates are Lis Viggers from Animal Justice, Lauren O'Dwyer from Labor (incumbent Labor MP Richard Wynne is retiring), Markus Freiverts from Family First, independent Meca Ho, Lucas Moon from the Liberals, Jeremy Cowen from Reason, Gabrielle de Vietri from The Greens and Roz Ward from the Victorian Socialists.
The Liberals did not contest Richmond in 2018, with The Greens a strong possibility of winning the seat.
